Privacy and data sovereignty are key concepts of eduMessenger. First said all connections from your device to eduMessenger are secured via https. Furthermore eduMessenger will not collect any data that is not necessary.

What does this mean in practice?

If you register with eduMessenger we will map your userid of your moodle instance with the courseid, forumid etc. that you are concerned with. We will only store your name and mail address (if for some reason it may be necessary to contact you), but no titles or messages.

Once a message is created eduMessenger caches the message content in order to create push notifications. As soon as those push notifications have been sent we wipe the message content from our servers.

What if I remove a moodle instance from my account?

Once you remove a moodle instance from your account we will also wipe from our database which courses, forums and so on you are concerned with.
